July 4th Parade – It’s a July 4 tradition in East Charlotte. Politicians and a variety of organizations celebrate the 4th of July in the Hickory Grove Parade. The parade winds along Harris Boulevard starting around the intersection of Hickory Grove. Ends with a block party at Hickory Grove Recreation Center, 6709 Pence Rd, with live music, games, food, and contests.
Jazz Festival – Spend the 4th of July under the stars at the Charlotte Jazz & Wine Festival. Rt 29 Pavilion, 5650 Sandusky Blvd. $25.
